# What Is GridChat?

GridChat is your managed AI website assistant. It appears on your website as a visitor-facing chat experience that can answer questions using information from your site.

## What visitors can do

Visitors can use GridChat to:

- ask questions about your website, services, or content
- receive helpful answers in a conversational format
- follow relevant links when GridChat includes them
- ask follow-up questions without starting over
- provide feedback on an answer
- choose whether to receive a conversation transcript when that option is offered

## Managed for you

GridChat is part of the GridWeb managed service. The system behind the assistant is managed for you, so your visitors get the conversation experience without requiring you to manage the underlying AI system.
